Join us for a fun workshop to experiment with pastels and combining them with other art mediums to take your work to a new level! Students will explore and interpret a fall scene in a relaxed and encouraging learning atmosphere. Extra experimental art mediums will be provided as well as sanded pastel paper.

Convincing Depth and Perspective in Watercolor Landscapes

Designed for beginning and intermediate artists, this relaxed, hands-on class explores the principles and techniques used to create convincing depth in watercolor landscapes. A landscape composition will be provided as a starting point, or participants may bring their own subject. Topics include composition, perspective, color depth and density, object detail, and the use of highlights and shadows to create realistic landscapes.

Autumn Glow: Capturing Light and Shadows in Acrylic

Designed for beginner to intermediate students, this hands-on acrylic painting class will guide you in creating the glow, depth, and movement of fall foliage. Phil will demonstrate techniques for blending color, building contrast, and using light and shadow to bring your autumn scene to life.
