Watch Me Make a Mess!

Presenter: Louise Farley

One usually starts a painting with an image in mind. Then, something might happen on the canvas that you didn’t intend ! Before you paint over it to follow your original idea, take a good look at it and consider whether it’s leading you somewhere else. Surprise! If this unintended diversion looks fun, go with it! You can always start another painting with the same subject in other ways.

Louise has a degree in Fine Arts at the University of Tennessee. She has teaching experience at John C. Campbell Folk School in Brasstown, N.C., Fountain City Art Center, and Knoxville Arts and Crafts Center in Knoxville, Tenn.  Louise also enjoys teaching in a more private setting, in her studio at Clearwater Artist Studios.
