Our Beloved Past President,  Carol Ann Dorst Vuchnich

Carol Ann Dorst Vuchnich, 78, of Concord, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on May 17, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

She carried with her throughout life a creative spirit, a thoughtful heart, and a deep appreciation for beauty, relationships, and the world around her.  Above all, Carol treasured her family. She shared decades of love and partnership with her devoted husband, Wally, whose life was forever enriched by her love. Together they built a beautiful life centered around love, family, creativity, and shared experiences.

Carol will be remembered for her creativity, warmth, quiet kindness, and the beauty she brought into the lives of those around her. Her legacy lives on in the art she created, the gardens she nurtured, the spaces she transformed, and the family and friends who were blessed to know and love her.
