In 1979, the family of Margaret Holt established a scholarship for high school seniors planning to pursue a degree in the visual arts. Mrs. Holt was a well-respected artist who is listed in “Who’s Who in American Artists". It has been the responsibility of the Cabarrus Art Guild to oversee the selection of potential candidates for this scholarship, and we are honored to be a part of this process.
Scholarships are a one-time award of $1,000.00 per recipient, awarded at the beginning of their college freshman year.
