Description:
Paper quilling comes with a rich history, dating back thousands of years and spans multiple civilizations. It has found a solid footing in today’s art world. Historians have dated the art form back to ancient times, when crafters would use a bird’s feather (quill) as the tool to coil the paper.
In this class rolling, coiling, pinching and shaping small strips of colored paper is used to create a cohesive three-dimensional design. From birds to flowers and animals, design options in quilling are endless.
Kristy will show you various quilling techniques and help you learn to use basic tools so that you can create your very own piece. It’s very creative, detailed, relaxing and fun.
This class is perfect for beginners and seasoned artists alike.
Kristy has been creating art for many years. Both a painter and a creator of 3-d art. She does the Forgive Me Not Fairies from polymer clay, paper sculpturing as well as just about any subject in 3-dimentional paper quilling.
