We are excited to offer this opportunity for you to work with an outstanding instructor weekly over a six-week period. This will allow you to take the learnings, use them between classes and then get additional feedback to move forward. In this workshop we will be designing paintings from the photographs you have chosen. We will not be copying them, but cropping, and rearranging elemets to simplify and push our creativity. Let’s have fun, while taking some risks with color and design!

Learn more about the mysteries of watercolor in this six-week series. Linda offers insights about techniques, tools and the types of paper and paints to help assure you get good results.
Linda will share her years of experience in watercolor to help you increase your own watercolor abilities.
In this class students choose their own subjects. They are encouraged to use their own photos. Painting subjects you like is the first tip in improving your results.
In each session Linda will demonstrate a particular technique, checking first with students to determine the demo topic. Value scale, flat wash, wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, graded wash, hard edge, soft edge, blended color and glazing are some of the topics you’ll hear details about. Learn how to use the paints you have to create the tints and shades you need. Learn to turn your mistakes into creative solutions. Learn how the ration of paint to water affects the color intensity of your paints.
After the demo students work on their own art piece. Linda offers students individual guidance as they progress with their work.
Linda’s training in art began in Europe where she grew up as the daughter of an Army officer. It was there her love of architecture and travel began to develop.
Her corporate collectors include:
The Marriott Corporation, which owns 27 original paintings and The Industrial Research Center for Japan, Tokyo, which owns more than 26 original watercolors. She has many loyal collectors, several owning more than 40 paintings as her style evolved.
She teaches locally and also travels conducting workshops, in addition to tutoring by appointment in her studio.
