For artists new to the medium, you’ll learn about the best materials and methods to get you up to speed to creating successful paintings.

For artists new to the medium you’ll learn about the best materials and methods to get you up to speed creating successful paintings.
For those artists who have experience in pastel, you’ll get try other art media that compliment pastel, and new exciting ways to use them to express your artistic ideas.
In this relaxed class atmosphere you will learn about the best materials to use, techniques for applying the pastel to achieve different textures, and tools and products that give the artist a successful outcome for their painting.
Malia is a pastel artist from Locust, North Carolina. She has studied pastel painting with many nationally known pastel artists. Malia’s award winning work has been included in state and national exhibitions. Her paintings received a first place and Honorable Mention award in the animal category of Pastel Magazine Pastel 100 Competition.
